Simeon Lloyd – Director – Foot Trimmer
I attended a basic foot trimming course in 2006 and my obsession for treating and preventing lame cows started. In 2008 I became a professional foot trimmer and worked quickly to become licensed category 1. I am now one of the few foot trimmers to hold both the Dutch diploma and the City & Guilds qualification in foot trimming. Recently I completed the Dairyland foot trimming course and have become a committee member at the National Association of Cattle Foot Trimmers (NACFT). Controlling cattle lameness has become my passion and Shropshire Hoof Care is the result of progression and hard work.
Roel Driesen – Director – Veterinary Surgeon
My cow foot fetish started back in 1996 when I did a Dutch hoof trimming course on the Belgian-Dutch border. Since then I have always aimed for the right hoof shape and a well-balanced foot, before digging for the problem and shouting eureka when the pus flies out. In 2012 I became a Mobility mentor within the DairyCo Healthy Feet Program, which helped me address lameness better at a herd level. In Spring 2015 we organised a Dairyland Foot Trimming course that Simeon, Pablo and I attended. It has enabled us to gain a different perspective on how hoof trimming can be done.
Samantha Pettifer – Office Manager
After previously working for Shropshire Farm Vets since 2013, I took on the role of Office Manager at Shropshire Hoof Care in 2018. I have a passion for the day to day running of the Business and ensuring we meet our clients needs. Outside of work you can find me out in the countryside with my 7 working dogs or enjoying the Shooting season throughout the winter months.
Joe Donnelly – Foot Trimmer
Born and raised in Shropshire, I joined Shropshire Hoof Care in 2018 after 3 years of work and travel abroad. Since then I have attended the Dairyland foot trimming course, the NACFT cattle lameness conference, gained my Category 1 foot trimming diploma and received training from the other trimmers at SHC. Hoof trimming to me is strangely addictive and a highly satisfying job that is always different day to day. Outside of work I enjoy cycling, fell running and weekend trips away in my van.

Adrian Bromfield – Foot Trimmer
I have completed the Dutch 4day foot trimming course and have my Category 1 foot trimming Diploma. I attend regular check days and have done so over the last 11years of being a foot trimmer. What I love about the job is the different variety of farms I visit but above all I like nothing more than seeing a lame cow entre the crush and seeing her exit sound and happy. In my spare time I enjoy playing bowls.
Chris Smith- Foot Trimmer
Having worked within the dairy industry for over 20 years I have developed a passion for cow welfare and have a great understanding that happy, healthy cows are going to be profitable cows! Having taken the Dairyland foot trimming course I feel I have the necessary skills to help tackle lameness on farm. I bring a positive outlook to the job and love to have a laugh and a joke whilst working. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, deer stalking, shooting and gundog training .
